GitHub

Use a fine-grained personal access token with read access to the repository you want to index.

Create a token

  1. In GitHub, open Settings → Developer settings → Personal access tokens → Fine-grained tokens and choose Generate new token.
  2. Select the correct resource owner and only the repository you want CommuneAI to read. Give it Contents: Read-only access, choose an expiration, and complete any organization approval required.
  3. Copy the token when GitHub shows it. In CommuneAI, choose GitHub, paste the repository URL and token in their separate fields, add the source, and request a sync if one has not started automatically.

See GitHub's token guide for current screens and permissions.
