CommuneAI turns connected knowledge into answers for Discord and Telegram communities. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit communeai.co, create an account, request a demo, connect sources or communities, and use the service. For privacy questions, contact support@communeai.co.

Information we process

  • Account and workspace information: your email address, sign-in details, workspace membership and settings, and information you provide when requesting a demo or contacting support.
  • Connected knowledge: websites, GitHub repositories, Notion pages, and PDFs you choose to connect, including content and metadata needed to index and retrieve relevant passages.
  • Community and product activity: messages and identifiers from connected Discord channels and Telegram groups, Playground questions and answers, delivery and usage records, and diagnostic or audit events. In Smart Mode, CommuneAI may process new human messages in approved spaces even without a bot tag. It may process a message without replying.
  • Billing information: plan, checkout and payment status, and transaction references. Payment details entered on the hosted checkout are handled by the payment provider.
  • Technical information: browser, device, session, and request information needed to operate and secure the service.

Google sign-in

If you choose Continue with Google, we receive account details needed to identify and sign you in, such as your Google account ID, name, profile image, and email address. We store these details with your CommuneAI account and use them for authentication and account management until your account is deleted, subject to the retention exceptions below. We share Google sign-in details only with service providers that process authentication and store account data for us. We do not send these details to AI providers to generate answers. Google sign-in does not give CommuneAI access to your Gmail, Google Drive files, or Google contacts. We do not sell Google sign-in data or use it for advertising. Email and password sign-in is also available.

How we use information

  • Provide accounts, workspaces, connected sources, community integrations, grounded answers, analytics, billing, and support.
  • Index connected content, identify relevant questions, retrieve source passages, and generate responses according to workspace settings.
  • Send account, invitation, billing, and service messages and respond to demo and support requests.
  • Protect the service, investigate failures and misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Workspace owners choose the sources and community spaces to connect. They should tell their members when a CommuneAI agent is active and configure it to match their community rules.

Storage, retention, and security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet operational needs, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Workspace and account deletion can be requested through the product. Deletion may run asynchronously or be delayed by a legal hold. Limited records, such as payment or security records and deletion receipts, may remain where needed. Providers may process data in countries other than yours. We use access controls and other safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can promise absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can update workspace settings, disconnect integrations, remove sources, and request account or workspace deletion in the app. You can also ask about access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information at support@communeai.co. We may need to verify your identity and respect others' rights or legal obligations before acting. If a workspace organization controls information about its members, we may direct a request to that organization.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the revised date here. For questions, contact support@communeai.co. See our Terms of Service for rules on using CommuneAI.
